ABOUT THE WEDDING DJ

THE WEDDING D.J.

A wedding is altogether different from the usual party, having the widest cross section of guests. The typical age range at a wedding is from 10 to 90 years old, and the D.J. must play to all of them. A club D.J. is great for your Saturday night dance, or frat party. Without a doubt he or she will have all the latest dance hits, but may not have many of the standards played at a wedding. After all, a wedding is probably the only place you will hear the “Hokey Pokey”, “Shout”, “Money Money”, “Pump up the Jam”, and “Hot in Here, all in the space of a few minutes.

As your wedding D.J., I will act as your Master of Ceremonies. Making announcements (there are a lot at a wedding) and coordinating with others working at the reception. I have the ability to read the crowd, and can tell when it’s time to ease out of dinner music mode and into party tunes. Likewise, I can tell when your guests are ready for something to happen, for example, special dances, the garter and bouquet toss, the cake cutting and so forth, and will set the pace of the party. If you have no other coordinator, me and my assistant can perform this function. Caterers, photographers, videographers, all have their jobs to do, and they need to know what is going on. I will be the communication center.

Pre-planning is a must. I will have a personal consultation with you and together we will go over all of the musical details of your wedding. It will be the happiest day of your life, but also one of the most hectic. I. also have devised a sequence of events (first dance, cake cutting, garter, bouquet toss etc.) which you may find helpful if you choose this format.  On your wedding day, you don’t need anything else on your mind, and the last thing you need to do is make more decisions.

Experience and professionalism is what you deserve on this most important of all occasions. Having worked with many of the best photographers, videographers, caterers, and the ability to identify, react and solve any problems that might arise at your wedding, IS the Perfect Sound advantage.

Sincerely,

John Rossi
